Dr. Symon Kariuki

He is an epilepsy researcher at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research programme and a Honorary Research Fellow at University of Oxford, with postgraduate training in epileptology from King’s College London and Neuropsychiatric epidemiology from University of Oxford. He is a member of the ILAE task force on Psychiatric issues in Paediatric epilepsy.

Fatuma Chelimo (Assistant secretary)

She assists the secretary to coordinate all activities of NECC. Chelimo also works with E-med Africa Initiative, a mentorship programme for medical students that focuses on planning and carrying out medical camps across the country.

Anderson Kedeki (Treasurer)

Anderson is the Chairman of Kifafa Care and Support Child project, and he is a holder of Diploma in Print Technology from Technical University of Kenya.

Currently working at DelaRue Currency and Security Print Ltd.

Eddie Chengo (Vice-chairperson)

Eddie is a Clinical Officer with an interest in epilepsy. He is involved in the Epilepsy Outreach Program focusing on clinical and research wok under the Foundation for People with Epilepsy. He has contributed to knowledge on the epidemiology and treatment gap of epilepsy and wrote a booklet for families and children with epilepsy which aims to change attitudes about epilepsy. He holds MSc in Epilepsy Practice from Leeds University, UK.

Epillose Musimbi (Secretary)

Epillose has served NECC in different capacities previously as assistant secretary and now as the secretary in which position she coordinates activities of NECC. She is also the programme manager for Youth on the Move whose mission is to empower people with epilepsy and ensure their equal participation in society. She holds a Master of arts (community development) from Kenyatta University.
