In Kenya, research shows that 2 out of every 100 people have epilepsy, and the majority never gets to see a doctor or access anti-epileptic medication

poor access to clinical care and epilepsy medication is mostly attributable to poor knowledge and awareness about epilepsy, misleading socio-cultural myths and beliefs, poverty, stigma, and an ill resourced health system.
